A New Candle Venture
A couple of years ago I decided to try my hand at crafting candles and offer them for sale with my antiques and vintage furniture business. Thankfully the candles have sold well enough that it had me wondering about expanding deeper into more home scent options. When I get something in my head, I usually have to investigate every small detail at Google length. I’ve tried to learn everything I could on the art of candle making and other items which like most any worthwhile endeavor has been a challenge!
There is so much to learn including producing the right fragrance recipes (Hello Math), containers to be used which is really important for branding as well as labeling requirements. My kitchen became a makeshift lab and my new found role of home chemist began. The last few months I’ve been working on finding the best fragrances and wax to match the type of candles and home scent line I want to offer. I have some pretty good ideas that hopefully will workout;) More to come~
