Red Cabbage Dyed Easter Eggs

Striving to live a more natural lifestyle, I decided to try my hand at using red cabbage to dye Easter eggs. The following is the recipe I used~

In a large pot, boil 4 cups chopped red cabbage in 6 cups of water.

Bring cabbage to a boil and then simmer for a good 30 minutes.

After cooling, strain mixture leaving dye.

Add 1/2 cup – 3/4 cup distilled white vinegar to the dye.

Place eggs in dye and leave for 15-30 minutes depending on how dark you want them.

So fun and beautiful to boot!
