Vintage Prop Hunting

| |

Occasionally  I will get asked what I look for when hunting for vintage props to either use for photo styling, decorate with or ultimately offer for sale at my antique space. There really is no great science to it believe it or not. But I like finding things that have a subtle color, simple lines and a worn patina or texture.  Any combination of those qualities usually will help guide me to locate that special treasure.

Such is the case of the collection of old bottles in my prop stash. I bought these for their lovely sun kissed purple color, shape and worn glass feel. Over the years I’ve used them in a couple of magazine features and to decorate with.  You can still find them at flea markets and antique sales for a fairly budget friendly price which is always at the top of my list when hunting for props.
